Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic cabling, network wiring (Cat5, Cat6), and telecommunication equipment.
• Perform fiber splicing and testing to ensure optimal data transmission performance.
• Set up and configure network devices such as Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and Avaya telephony systems.
• Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and RF testers to identify issues within electrical and communication systems.
• Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately install and maintain complex wiring layouts in accordance with NEC standards.
• Conduct field service visits to client sites for system installation, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician with a strong background in electrical systems and telecommunications.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, Ethernet cabling, VoIP systems, and network wiring standards.
• Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, fiber splicing, radio frequency (RF) testing, and telecommunication infrastructure.
