Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation projects.
• Collaborate with construction teams during renovation and new build projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and industry best practices on construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical components and systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Use hand tools like wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, and frame carpentry tools as needed for installation tasks.
• Assist with schematics interpretation and provide handyman support for minor repairs or modifications.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in various settings.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
• Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage wiring practices in accordance with NEC standards.
• Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Experience working on construction sites, including renovation projects requiring frame carpentry or handyman skills.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting for industrial automation applications.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power drills, and other essential equipment for electrical work.
• Strong understanding of schematics interpretation and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while maintaining compliance with safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
