Electrician (service work)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician specializing in service work to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical installations and repairs, contributing to the seamless operation of our clients’ facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and schematics.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
• Work safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and low/high voltage safety protocols.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems for industrial electrician tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Collaborate with construction teams or handyman personnel on framing carpentry or related tasks when needed.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, including NEC standards for low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a focus on service work.
• Strong background in industrial electrician tasks including PLCs and schematics interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with construction site environments and renovation projects.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, electrical code compliance (NEC), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment like multimeters.
• Experience working with construction or renovation teams; frame carpentry or handyman skills are a plus.
• Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and protocols to ensure safe working conditions at all times.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
