Low Voltage Technician

Job Summary

Duties

• Install, configure, and test low-voltage systems including CCTV surveillance, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and telecommunication systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, and network wiring issues using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
• Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to ensure high-quality data transmission
• Conduct site surveys using schematics and technical drawings to plan cable routing and system layouts
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, test results, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference
• Assist with network installation projects involving Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), telephony systems (Avaya), and radio frequency (RF) testing
• Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance and resolving client issues promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician in telecommunications or IT environments
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring, structured cabling installation (Cat5/Cat6), and telecommunications systems
