General Statement of Duties

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout housing properties. This position helps ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant electrical service for residents while supporting preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, unit turnovers, and modernization projects.

Requirements

• Dependable transportation to work Monday-Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM.
• Must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening, and have required documentation of legal presence to work in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings and common areas.
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Install and replace wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, panels, and related electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize service interruptions.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical service calls.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy by completing electrical inspections and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and agency policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service requests.
• Coordinate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in a safe and organized condition.
• Provide courteous and professional service to residents while working in occupied units.
