Journeyman Electrician - Service/Special Projects

Overview

We are seeking a Service Journeyman Electrician to join our (change this to Service and Special Projects Team) in the Richmond area. The ideal candidates will have experience in service electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. This role involves working in residential homes, commercial and industrial buildings, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Electricians will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, while also collaborating with other trades on various projects.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Work on high voltage systems as required for specific projects.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
• Great customer service + positive attitude
• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices related to electrical work.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites while following safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other trades.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing at any given time.
• Reliable transportation
