About the Role

The Low Voltage Technician plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, telecommunications, and data networks. This position ensures that all systems operate efficiently and comply with industry standards and safety regulations. The technician will collaborate closely with project managers, electricians, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to specific site requirements. Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in low voltage system installation and maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles related to low voltage systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in low voltage systems such as NICET, BICSI, or equivalent.
• Experience with network cabling standards and fiber optic installation.
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain low voltage systems such as security cameras, access control, fire alarms, and structured cabling.
