Licensed Journeyman electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on various projects. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both commercial and industrial settings. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Work with high voltage systems and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and logic controllers to diagnose problems accurately.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople during renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

• Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
• Experience as an industrial electrician with knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with high voltage equipment and safety standards.
• Competence in using power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Knowledge of NEC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on renovation projects.
