Industrial Electrician / Machine Shop Electrician

About the Role

Machinists Incorporated is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician / Machine Shop Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery, industrial electrical systems, and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate has strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience supporting machine tools in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, PLC systems, VFDs, and industrial controls
• Diagnose and repair motors, drives, breakers, switches, transformers, and control panels
• Install and modify wiring, conduit, panels, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
• Follow NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial electrical or machine shop electrician experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Trade school, apprenticeship, or technical training preferred
• Journeyman Electrician license highly desirable
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), VFDs, and industrial control systems
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience with CNC machines, machine tools, or manufacturing equipment preferred

Tools & Technical Skills

• Proficient using electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical testing equipment
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical installation tools
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
