Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team for the Summer.

Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment on construction sites and renovation projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks with precision
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems in industrial settings
• Conduct low voltage wiring for communication systems or security alarms as needed
• Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards and local electrical codes for safety and compliance
• Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; perform testing to verify system integrity
• Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during construction or renovation projects
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed
• Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents on construction sites or industrial facilities

Experience

• CA State Journeyman certificate required
• 5+ years Journeyman experience preferred

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
