Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial, industrial, and construction settings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete wiring tasks and system upgrades
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults quickly
• Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality benchmarks
• Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other tradespeople during renovation or new build projects
• Conduct low voltage and high voltage wiring installations while maintaining safety protocols at all times
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for complex systems
• Perform routine inspections on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing safety

Skills

• Proven experience as a residential or commercial electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes
