Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers.
• Install, repair, and upgrade residential electrical systems including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and high-voltage components.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical schematics to ensure precise installation and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes.
• Perform electrical diagnostics on complex systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems for optimal performance.
• Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring safely on renovation or construction sites while following strict electrical safety procedures.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction experience to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a clean work environment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to electrical safety procedures, including proper handling of high-voltage systems and NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain solutions clearly, and ensure customer satisfaction with every project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on residential service work; industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC standards, and NFPA 70 compliance requirements.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems.
• Proficiency with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable.
• Ability to work safely with high-voltage wiring in renovation or construction environments while following all safety procedures.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, schematics reading, and high-voltage wiring projects.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power drills, frame carpentry skills, and handyman experience for versatile project execution.
• Construction site experience including renovation projects that require detailed blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex electrical issues.

Pay: $28.35 - $37.14 per hour
