Electrical Apprentice

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately.
• Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems for safety compliance and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including proper handling of high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Read detailed schematics and technical drawings to guide installation or repair work efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and system modifications.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in various environments.
