Electrical Apprentice

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on commercial and industrial job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Duties

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform electrical work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems as directed by senior electricians.
• Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
• Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in construction site activities, including frame carpentry tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Experience

• Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with electrical tools, including hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Basic understanding of construction site protocols and safety practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical installations.
