Apprentice Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the electrical field, providing hands-on experience and training under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will work primarily on construction sites, assisting with various electrical tasks while learning the trade.

Duties

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively and safely to complete tasks.
• Support journeyman/journeywoman electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Participate in the installation of low voltage systems and components.
• Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
• Help with the organization and maintenance of tools and equipment on-site.
• Build strong working relationships with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems or prior experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment used in electrical work.
• Understanding of industrial electrician practices is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites, adapting to various conditions and challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to commercial electrician tasks.
• Must be able to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively within a team.
