Journeymen Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeymen Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical work.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine necessary repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safety and quality assurance.
• Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components in industrial settings.
• Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and protocols.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment efficiently during installation or renovation projects.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems through systematic analysis, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation or repair activities on various projects.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within building frameworks.

Skills

• Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
• Commercial electrician experience demonstrating expertise in commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) for safe electrical practices.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across diverse environments.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automation setups.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams with precision.
• Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring techniques for industrial applications.
• Strong understanding of local electrical codes such as the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Construction site experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems used in commercial buildings or industrial facilities.
• Commitment to following strict electrical safety procedures at all times during work activities.

Pay: $29.47 - $42.00 per hour
