Service Electrician

SERVICE ELECTRICAN

We are seeking a skilled Service Electrician to perform on-site electrical service, troubleshooting, and repairs for our residential and small commercial customers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship on tight timelines. Responsibilities:* Respond to service calls, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective, code-compliant solutions. * Install, replace, and repair wiring, outlets, panel boards, breakers, lighting, and related electrical components. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in electrical systems and equipment. * Perform panel upgrades, grounding and bonding, and electrical code corrections. * Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. * Ensure all work complies with national/state/local electrical codes and safety standards. * Document work performed, parts used, and time on service orders; communicate status to customers. * Provide clear explanations and recommendations to customers; obtain customer approval for non-emergency replacements and upgrades. * Maintain company vehicle, hand tools, and PPE; adhere to safety protocols and company policies. * Participate in after-hours/on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required * 2+ years of verifiable experience in electrical service or residential/commercial electrical work. * Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and testing equipment (multimeters, megohm meters, etc.). * Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. * Good communication and customer-service skills; professional appearance and demeanor. * Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record * Must be able to speak and understand English * Completion of an apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license preferred * OSHA-10 or equivalent safety training is a plus. * Must be able to lift and carry tools...
