The Role

The Residential Electrician Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing residential electrical maintenance services, safety inspections, and minor repairs while building long-term customer relationships. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, system optimization, and identifying electrical concerns early—leading customers to informed and confident decisions regarding repairs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform residential electrical maintenance visits, safety inspections, and system evaluations.

Identify potential electrical issues and recommend proactive repairs or upgrades.

Complete minor electrical repairs and adjustments during maintenance calls as appropriate.

Establish strong customer rapport and clearly explain findings, recommendations, and options.

Promote and enroll customers in maintenance plans and applicable service agreements.

Educate customers on electrical safety, system performance, and energy-efficient solutions.

Adhere to service criteria and contribute to department revenue and retention goals.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to drive referrals and repeat business.

Coordinate effectively with dispatch, customer service, and management teams.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site and a well-stocked service vehicle.

Accurately complete invoices, inspection forms, option sheets, timecards, and customer feedback.
