Part Time Facility and Event Electrician

The Anaheim Convention Center is owned and operated by the City of Anaheim, and it is our mission to provide unparalleled service in a world class venue as we host over 200 events each year, welcoming approximately 1.1 million visitors annually. We are seeking a Part Time Facility and Event Electrician to join us in achieving our mission by constructing, installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in Anaheim Convention Center.

Qualified candidates will possess journey level skills as an electrician. Ideal candidates will possess at least five years of experience, as well as electrical experience within a theater or related entertainment environment.

This is a part-time position usually averaging 20 hours per week. A minimum number of hours is not guaranteed. Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

*The following functions are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed functions and/or may be required to perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.** Install and replace electrical circuits, switches, panels, conduit, wiring, fixtures, clocks, commercial meter services, kitchen equipment, emergency generator equipment and electrical overhead doors. * Maintain, analyze, modify, and repair digital control and recording systems related but not limited to audiovisual, HVAC, lighting, and security. * Set up and monitor sound and recording systems. * Program and repair electronic signs and scoreboards. * Support HVAC department in repair, drive motors, gear head motors and the electrical parts of air conditioning controls; repair power tools. * Maintain, analyze, modify and repair photovoltaic systems. * Perform preventive electrical maintenance on all types of electrical equipment, including pumps, compressors, kitchen equipment, and lighting e...
