Duties

• Support licensed electricians in installing wiring, conduit, and electrical components according to blueprints and schematics
• Use hand tools and power tools to assist with cutting, bending, and securing wiring and fixtures
• Help interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
• Assist with reading blueprints and construction plans to locate wiring pathways and equipment placements
• Prepare work areas by framing carpentry tasks as needed for electrical installations on construction sites
• Conduct basic inspections of low voltage and high voltage systems under supervision, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
• Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to assist in troubleshooting electrical circuits
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and safety gear regularly

Requirements

• Prior experience working with industrial or commercial electricians is highly desirable
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment is essential
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
