Summary

Performs journeyman level work in the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of electrical/HVAC systems and mechanical equipment. Install new circuits, run conduits and properly connect equipment electrically per code. Troubleshooting electrical failures and making timely repairs, operating emergency power generators and performing regular compliance testing of the emergency power system. Performs repairs to buildings, facilities and equipment. Will need to work with co-workers and supervisors to coordinate and complete jobs, safely and efficiently. Responsible for taking "on-call" and able to work individually when responding to a "call in." Other responsibilities include completing work orders, preventative maintenance on equipment, minor plumbing repairs, and snow removal. Reports to Supervisor , Manager a nd the Director of Facilities Management.

Responsibilities

• Performs journeyman level work in the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of electrical/HVAC systems and equipment in the hospital. Installs wiring for new electrical transformers, wiring, switches, alarm and public address systems, and various other electrical equipment and appliances. Studies blueprints and diagrams to ascertain layout, location, and specification of items to be installed, repaired, or serviced.
