Licensed JW Foreman Electrician & Superintendent

POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Commercial Foreman / Superintendent is a dual-role position responsible for leading and managing commercial electrical projects in the field (approximately 70% Foreman responsibilities) while also overseeing multiple projects at a higher supervisory level (approximately 30% Superintendent responsibilities). This individual ensures that all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes, specifications, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can effectively manage crews, coordinate with project managers, communicate with clients, and deliver projects on time and within budget. REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician License (required)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Verification of U.S. work eligibility
• High School Diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction
• At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role (foreman, lead, or superintendent level)
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC, commercial electrical systems, and troubleshooting methods
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job scopes
• Proficient in project scheduling, manpower planning, and material coordination
• Competence with basic digital tools (e.g., email, PDF markups, construction apps)
• Ability to work varied shifts (days, evenings, or nights) as required by the project
• Willingness to travel within 5 hours of the Denver Metro area as needed
• Maintain and master OSHA 30 certification

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Foreman (70%)

• Lead on-site crews and apprentices on commercial electrical projects.
• Plan and execute daily work activities to ensure productivity and quality.
• Coordinate material orders and deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Ensure work is installed per NEC, drawings, and company standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and journeyman electricians.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites.
• Complete daily reports, timecards, and material tracking accurately.
• Communicate effectively with project managers regarding schedules, changes, and issues.
• Represent Specialized Electric professionally on job sites and with clients.

Superintendent (30%)

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously at a high level to ensure consistency in safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Work with Project Managers, Estimators, and Foremen to plan manpower and project sequencing.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical, staffing, or logistical issues.
• Support project turnover, startup, and closeout documentation.
• Review drawings, change orders, and submittals to ensure project alignment.
• Mentor foremen and assist in developing future leaders.
• Manage coordination with general contractors, other trades, and utility providers.
• Track and report on labor productivity, materials usage, and project progress.
• Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities for process efficiency.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and master OSHA 30 certification, demonstrating expert-level understanding of electrical and construction safety standards.
• Lead by example in all safety-related practices and decision-making.
• Ensure full compliance with company safety programs and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and train crew members to uphold the highest safety standards.
• Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all job sites.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs), and work in various environments. Exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures. Must be able to drive safely in all weather and lighting conditions. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
