Lead Residential Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team and drive electrical projects from conception through completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across diverse construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial settings. As a Lead Electrician, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical work, mentoring team members, and ensuring all projects adhere to safety standards and electrical codes. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites, industrial facilities, or commercial buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems.
• Supervise and mentor a team of electricians, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
• Install and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Manage the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings.
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations including NEC standards and local codes while maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan electrical layouts and ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site work.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and NEC compliance.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, power tools, hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately for installation or troubleshooting purposes.
• Experience in renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to electrical work on construction sites or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Relevant certifications such as Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; additional training in low/high voltage systems is advantageous. Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
