Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that electrical installations meet all safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise electrical work.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation projects.
• Conduct testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues accurately.
• Follow safety protocols aligned with NEC standards while working on high voltage or low voltage systems.
• Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics for complex electrical circuits; troubleshoot using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials on construction sites or within facilities.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments.
