Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in interpreting schematics and working with various electrical tools. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and logic controllers to perform electrical tasks efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local electrical codes during all installations and repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues by diagnosing problems using appropriate testing devices.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent job experience.
• Proven experience as a commercial electrician or residential electrician.
• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
• Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, hand tools, power tools, and logic controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed based on project demands.
