Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to build, renovate, and maintain various electrical installations in commercial, residential and light industrial setting. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading and hands-on experience with both low voltage and high voltage systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring all electrical work complies with local codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
• Work with logic controllers for automation projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes during installation and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within specifications.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve project goals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
