Residential Journeyman Electrician & Apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and motivated Residential Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential settings, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Knowledge of rough ins and finishing is a must along with hands on experience. Traveling to Cranberry, Baden, and other areas around the city of Pittsburgh is a must. We are looking for people who show up daily on time ready to work. This position is M-F 7:30-3pm.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels in residential properties.
• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and low voltage testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation.
• Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors during construction or renovation projects.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently by applying knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes, including high voltage and low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven residential electrical experience.
• Demonstrated experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints related to electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
• Ability to work in various construction environments.

Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour
