Journeyman Electrician

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Organization: IBEW Local 569 Location: San Diego & Imperial Counties

Overview

IBEW Local 569 is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support commercial, industrial, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to NEC and local code standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Perform conduit bending, wiring, panel installation, and equipment terminations
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions
• Work safely in accordance with OSHA and site‑specific requirements
• Collaborate with project foremen, general contractors, and fellow electricians

Qualifications

• Valid California State Electrical Journeyman Certification
• Active IBEW 569 membership or ability to join
• Strong proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation methods
• Reliable transportation and ability to work varied shifts if required
