Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. Duties

• Install, wire, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to ensure proper operation of complex automation systems.
• Conduct inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity.
• Follow all safety protocols in accordance with NEC standards while working on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to coordinate work efforts.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance documentation.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations.
