Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to accurately execute projects.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installation and maintenance tasks on low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Work on construction sites, renovation projects, or industrial facilities to ensure electrical systems are installed correctly and efficiently.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Conduct routine inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
• Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, electricians, and handyman professionals to coordinate project tasks smoothly.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working with high voltage systems or performing complex electrical tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments.
