Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and meets project specifications. Responsibilities

• Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support automation and control functions.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades in accordance with NEC standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and handymen during renovation and new construction projects to coordinate electrical work seamlessly.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults efficiently.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations on construction sites or industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical theory.
