Industrial Electrician

Job Summary

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems supporting manufacturing and facility operations. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment (up to 600V)
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and control system issues on manufacturing equipment
• Work with PLC/HMI systems, including basic setup and editing
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman Electrician or 8,000+ hours documented electrical experience
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills (Windows-based systems)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• CPR/AED/First Aid certified (or ability to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
• Ability to work at heights and in varying temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to crawl, bend, and use trade tools safely
• Follow all safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements
