Our construction sites are located within 15-45 minutes from of our shop location in Mount Joy.

Overview

Hertzler Electric is seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial/industrial construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, building codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial installations to industrial systems, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient with running conduit/bends
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to execute precise electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper connections and safety protocols are followed.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with other trades.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
