Our construction sites are located within 15 minutes to an hour of our shop location in Mount Joy.

Overview

Hertzler Electric is seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial/industrial construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, building codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial installations to industrial systems, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to execute precise electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper connections and safety protocols are followed.
• Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with other trades.
