Industrial Electrician

Position Summary

E.R. Jahna Industries is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and optimization of electrical and automation systems across multiple mining and processing operations. This position plays a critical role in maximizing plant uptime through advanced troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, motor control, PLC, VFD, and medium-voltage systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience diagnosing complex electrical and control system issues in an industrial environment and have the ability to work safely on equipment ranging from low-voltage controls to 480V and 4160V power distribution systems. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can quickly identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

Essential Responsibilities

Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems in mining, dredging, and aggregate processing operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems including:
• 120V, 240V, and 480V systems
• Medium-voltage 4160V equipment and distribution systems
• MCCs (Motor Control Centers)
• Switchgear
• Transformers
• Power distribution panels
• Perform electrical testing using multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, power quality analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot motor failures, phase loss conditions, grounding issues, overload conditions, and electrical faults.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, one-line drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.

PLC & Automation Systems

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and identify faults within automated processes.
• Work with PLC platforms such as:
• Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
