Experienced Journeyman Electrician

Duties

- Correctly wire and layout residential homes within estimated timeframes

- Wire and complete jobs correctly the first time in order to be profitable

• Maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with schematics, blueprints, and local codes
• Renovate existing electrical systems to meet updated specifications and requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support electrical work
• Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations and repairs
• Safely work with high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and HVAC technicians, to ensure coordinated efforts during construction projects
• Build electrical panels and control systems according to specifications

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician Journeyman
• Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the trade

• Ownership of proper electrical hand tools
• Understanding of low voltage systems and their installation requirements
• Ability to work with high voltage systems while following safety protocols
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Communicate any issues or problems to owner right away, ask questions to make sure work is completed correctly.
