A DAY IN THE LIFE

The Electrician position performs service on residential and commercial electrical work as well as new construction. Electrician's work may include, but is not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, placing, or replacing electrical circuit-breaker panels, switches, and resistors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical elements in a domestic environment.
• Assist customers in evaluating repair versus replacement options.
• Sustain proper supply, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the truck.
• Travel to job sites within the service area and maintain communication with dispatchers and your manager to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are effectively communicated to the customer.
• Properly complete paperwork and obtain customer authorization/signatures for the financial decision at the completion of the job.
• Willingness to pursue, develop and participate in continuing education.
• Knowledgeable of local electrical codes with the ability to apply them in a pragmatic manner on each job.
