Electrician

A-1 Electrical Contractors Inc. is currently expanding its electrical specialists team. A-1 is seeking experienced commercial electricians to join our Greater New Orleans and North Shore projects on a full-time basis.

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system. Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components. Skilled in New Commercial Construction Skilled in both verbal and written communication

Requirements and Qualifications

Completed electrician apprenticeship Large Scale Commercial/ Residential projects Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes Valid Class D license Ability to read blueprints Must be able to comply to a criminal background check and drug test

Preferred

CDL class A license OSHA 10 certified

Physical Requirements

Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to climb ladders.
