Commercial Electrician - Night Shift Walmart Remodel

Job Overview

Apex Electric Workforce is hiring six experienced commercial electricians for a night shift Walmart remodel project in Canal Winchester, Ohio. This is a project-based opportunity for professionals who take pride in high-quality work, communicate well with teammates, and can deliver on tight commercial retail timelines.

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, exceptional technical expertise, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions. You will be working inside an open retail environment during off-hours, performing electrical remodel tasks while coordinating closely with other trades and store management to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and relocate commercial electrical systems, including lighting, receptacles, panels, and circuits as part of the Walmart store remodel scope.
• Run, bend, and support EMT and other conduit types for new and existing branch circuits and lighting layouts.
• Perform rough-in and trim-out work for fixtures, signage, and equipment per Walmart and project specifications.
• Read and interpret plans, one-line diagrams, and remodel drawings to execute work accurately and on schedule.
• Troubleshoot, test, and verify circuits, devices, and equipment to ensure safe, code-compliant installations before areas are turned back over to store operations.
• Coordinate with the GC, other trades, and store personnel to sequence work, protect finishes, and maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Follow all OSHA, local code, and site-specific safety requirements, including proper PPE use, lockout/tagout, housekeeping, and material handling during night operations.
