Commercial Electrician

Job Summary

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete wiring tasks, conduit bending, and fixture installations.
• Conduct inspections of electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards rigorously to maintain compliance during all phases of work.
• Work safely on construction sites by adhering to safety protocols, including high voltage procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with project managers, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician tasks preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of frame carpentry is advantageous.
