About the Role

Grid Guard Power is seeking a Residential Wireman Electrician who thrives in a hands-on, field-driven environment. This role is on-site daily, working directly on electrical systems and energy installations.

You’ll play a key role in diagnosing issues, ensuring quality installations, and helping projects meet code and inspection standards. While you may guide less experienced team members, this is a working role where leading by example is essential.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be actively working in the field each day, including:

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical and battery system issues on-site
• Installation & Rework: Perform electrical installations and corrections to ensure all work passes inspection
• Code Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with NEC standards and local electrical codes
• Inspection Coordination: Meet with inspectors/AHJs, walk through installations, and address any required changes
• Field Leadership: Support and guide apprentices and newer crew members through hands-on training
• System Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of electrical systems, battery storage, and related equipment
• On-Call Support: Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend service when needed

What You’ll Bring

• License: Valid Residential Wireman license
• Experience: 4+ years of electrical experience (battery systems, generators, or EV chargers is a strong plus)
