Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts
• Perform high-voltage and low-voltage wiring tasks on commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues
• Conduct electrical diagnostics to determine root causes of system failures or inefficiencies
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 compliance standards and electrical safety procedures
• Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, including frame carpentry when necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made for compliance and record-keeping purposes

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of high-voltage electrical wiring and installation procedures
