Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial construction sites and renovation projects. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including high-voltage and low-voltage wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes for safety and legality.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations accurately and efficiently.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents, including proper handling of high voltage systems and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately to plan installations or repairs in complex electrical systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, inspections completed, and safety procedures followed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician practices preferred.
• Experience bending conduit is a required
• Experience working with rigid pipe is required
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high-voltage electrical wiring safely on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes is essential.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical blueprints accurately.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, power drills, conduit benders, etc., efficiently and safely.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures including lockout/tagout protocols.
• Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues promptly.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications in high voltage or industrial systems are a plus.
