Residential Service Electrician (Panel Upgrades / Troubleshooting)

Job Summary

Miller And Sons Electric is hiring an experienced Residential Service Electrician in Mesa, AZ. Must be highly proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. This position would entail strong customer service with a variety of residential services from lighting installation, EV charger installation and other basic home electrical repairs to complex troubleshooting, service changes, panel upgrades as well as interior and exterior dedicated circuits.

This is NOT new construction. We are seeking a service electrician who can diagnose electrical issues, present solutions to homeowners, build estimates on-site, sell recommended repairs, and complete service calls independently from start to finish. This is a performance-driven residential service role with strong earning potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched residential service calls
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in homes
• Perform panel upgrades and service replacements
• Install EV chargers, dedicated circuits, lighting, outlets, switches, and GFCIs
• Build and present clear on-site estimates to homeowners
• Sell recommended electrical solutions with professionalism and integrity
• Complete same-day repairs and installations when possible
• Lead and direct an apprentice on larger two-man jobs
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle
• Invoice and collect payment before leaving the job site
• Ensure all work is safe, code-compliant, and high quality

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years residential electrical experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Experience with panel upgrades and residential service work
• Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners
• Ability to build and present estimates on-site
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics
• Comfortable using iPad or digital estimating software
