Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete projects on time and within scope
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards
• Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers; implement effective solutions
• Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing wiring and electrical components in homes undergoing remodeling
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for each project

Experience

• Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in homes
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and blueprint reading is preferred but not required
• Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and NEC regulations is highly desirable
• Prior construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work safely in active environments
