Residential/Commercial Electrician Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior electricians. This role requires expertise in building and renovating electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using tools such as voltmeters and schematics. The Lead Electrician will ensure that all electrical installations and repairs comply with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
• Build, install, and renovate electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand wiring layouts and system designs.
• Mentor junior electricians and provide training on best practices in electrical work.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within larger projects.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in residential environments.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, schematics, and building codes.
• Familiarity with various tools used in electrical work, including voltmeters.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Certification or licensure as an electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
