Duties

• Install, configure, and test electronic security systems including CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection systems (IDS), fire alarms, access control, and sensors.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage systems such as cabling, power supplies, and communication networks.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, system design documents, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment to perform precise installations and repairs in construction or retrofit settings.
• Manage remote access software for system monitoring and diagnostics; ensure secure connectivity for remote troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with clients during system design phases to recommend optimal solutions tailored to their security needs.
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems and telecommunication infrastructure.
