Low Voltage Technician

TDS is seeking a well-rounded, motivated, punctual and extremely dependable technician with 3 to 8 years of field-based experience to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has previously worked for a LEC, cable, or low voltage company. This Field Service Technician position is a customer-facing role responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing various IT and data equipment. Our workload consists of MAC tickets / Projects / Installations / Digital Signage / Network Troubleshooting *This is NOT your conventional 9-5 pm. Our field service techs are dispatched regularly throughout the week and as needed on the weekends if they would like the extra hours.* __ Required Field Experience:

• Working knowledge and familiarity with pulling, running, terminating and testing coax, CAT5E/6, Fiber Optics
• Basic Networking Skills (ipconfig, change static addresses, TCP/IP, cmd prompt, input commands with tech support)
• Basic Telecom Hand Tools
• Analog and IP Cameras
• T-1/DSL/Cable/POTS
• Preferred Skills:
• Network troubleshooting
• POS Experience
• Digital Signage Knowledge
• Strong cable management aptitude

Position Requirements/ Qualifications: Please note that this position will be filled as a 1099 subcontractor with the possibility of moving to a permanent role in the future.

• A minimum high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Professional appearance and good communication skills
• Reliable transportation with the ability to carry up to an 8 ft. ladder daily
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Must pass national criminal background check.
• Must live in (or within 35 miles of) the major metro area

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
