Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking Tech Level 1 & 2 as well as Senior Techs to join our team and drive excellence in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems across diverse environments. As a key leader in our technical operations, you will oversee field service activities, mentor junior technicians, and ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and industry best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex network and telecommunication systems, delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber splicing, network wiring, Ethernet, Cat5/Cat6 cabling, VoIP telephony, and telecommunication infrastructure.
• Supervise field service operations, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to computer networking, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, LAN/WAN configurations, and electrical systems (AC/DC).
• Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to accurately implement system designs.
• Perform fiber optic splicing and RF testing to ensure optimal signal integrity across networks.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and network analyzers to identify faults and perform equipment repairs or replacements.
• Mentor team members on the proper use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols aligned with NEC standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or lead in low voltage systems with a strong background in telecommunication, data center environments, or electrical systems.
• Extensive knowledge of CCTV installation, fiber splicing, network installation (LAN/WAN), Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and telephony systems including Avaya.
