Duties

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optics, Ethernet cabling, and network wiring.
• Perform fiber splicing and cable terminations following industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system installation and maintenance.
• Conduct network installation tasks involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP solutions.
• Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and RF testers to identify issues within electrical and telecommunication systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on low voltage equipment in data centers or telecommunication rooms.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including NEC regulations and local electrical codes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in low voltage systems such as CCTV, networking, or telecommunication infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), and network hardware configuration.
